    Hokule'a Visits Cape Cod

Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard welcomed a visitor from half way across the globe on the July Fourth Weekend.  The Hōkūleʻa first visited Martha's Vineyard, and then set sail for Great Harbor in Woods Hole.  The vessel is is a performance-accurate full-scale replica of a waʻa kaulua, which is a Polynesian double-hulled voyaging canoe.  The Hōkūleʻa was launched on 8 March 1975 by the Polynesian Voyaging Society, she is best known for her 1976 Hawaiʻi to Tahiti voyage performed with Polynesian

  2. Arnold Mycock - Good-bye Sweet Friend

Arnold Mycock - Good-bye Sweet Friend

With deep sadness, CapeHomepage.com acknowledges the passing of legendary Cotuit Kettleers, and Cape Cod Baseball League, volunteer, Arnold W. Mycock, who died in his home, surrounded by his family, just a short distance from his beloved Lowell Park, on Friday, April 22, 2016.  He was 92.  Arnold volunteered for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League for 66 years.  That is 16 years longer than I have been alive, and it is a very long time.  Many people knew Arnold for decades

  4. Crazy Cape Cod Weather

    Crazy Cape Cod Weather

It has been a wild couple of weeks of weather on Cape Cod.  Since spring officially arrived on March 20th, Mother Nature has thrown Cape Codders for a loop.  First, there was actually a snow storm on the first full day of spring.  Then, we had a few days of extremely high winds, even by Cape Cod standards, that resulted in cancelled ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.  Now, on April 3rd and April 4th, we get back to back spring snowstorms.  Ouch!  This must be Mother Nature's sinister
